Hi my name is Pauline Yap residence in Puerto Galera, and I know this is a long stretch for what im trying to fund for. This is for my husband which we been together for 5years. Recently he was scammed for an amount that turned his life literally upside down.

I know there are cases much worse than his/our, people who has emergency or illness and even near death sickness. But what Im trying to avoid is bankruptcy which leads not only our life to an end, but also all employees he values as his own family member. I mean, why allowing it to lead it towards the end and make good people suffer for if it can be avoided.

My husband Daniel has been running a small sized hotel for 9yrs now who has more staff than he actually needs, but im ok with it as i know he does it to help whos in need of work. Until now there hasnt been much changes in his staff neither any increase of their salary as all feel mutual to his kindness and they want to stay loyal to him as he has been there for them in needs. So basically we grown into a family.

Daniel always been the kind type who always choosen others wellbeing rather than his own despite if his currently in financial difficulties. And thats how this turn around in his life happened.

Two years ago Daniel sought up loan to rehabilitate his hotel which was going out of date look and lots needed to be repaired and changed. It was an amount he could manage to pay a quartely amortization if everything went without any problems. Despite our 2 last years has been super tough and me last 6 months forced to work apart from husband into a long distance relationship, putting our children to our parents in the province, so that we could make enough to pay our dues until the loan will be finished for total of 4yrs.

Life has been hard last two years, but i cant complain if i compare my life to a regular filipino standard were still lucky to have what we have. And i can see why my husband is so supportive to his staff and family, coz life is hard in Philippines. We managed so far with lots of up and downs in life to continue the business and keeping everyone in work to continue life as it is.

Now the sudden change in our life. As Daniel always been caring and helping people in need even if he had worse situation, he would still always help. Till what happened last week, he was abused of his kindness! He somehow believed his guest who was a frequent return guest of Korean nationality that he was robbed. Over 7 days believing his Korean friend he borrowed him money everyday until they would go to the bank once they will go to Manila together. In Manila while my husband Daniel was waiting for the Korean to get his money, the Korean suddenly disappeared! Everday Daniel was beside the Korean making sure all his need was there because this is how he treats each and every guest as his own friends and some as his own family. He even went 1 day in hospital with the Korean as he fell ill during the trip. I find it so shamely how the Korean can do that, to abuse someone who was treated as VIP everday and on my husbands money. Due Daniels kindness he was now ripped off.

What little the Korean knew was the struggle we been through to just to pay off our quartely debts. That our life has forced us apart for the meantime to survive till the debts are paid. And the borrowed money was for this coming quartely amortization! Due several late payments we now risk to lose our business as we cant afford to pay this coming amortization. This December both the staff will suffer as 13th salary can't be given or even salary.

Me and the staff decided with all the kindness Daniel has showen us, for always being there when emergency and in needs. We hope that this time we could help him to get through the trauma he experienced and be there for him this time when in need.

He spent hours in police and NBI hoping to catch the Korean, but Philippines laws is plain useless! They cant even put him on hold in immigration without court orders which filing can take months.

We found out that the Korean ripped off his girlfriend for 10mill WON a week before he arrived in the hotel. And there is an warrant of arrest in Seoul. The girlfriend opened up a blogg telling her stories aswell in shock finding out that the Korean been doing this for years! There are comments in her blogg of other who suffered this modus! https://www.philgo.com/index.php?lookfor=&module=p...

The amount me and the staff is trying to raise is only the amount he lost to this scam. Only enough for him to pay the amortization not to lose his business. So we wont struggle further and I could also go back home to his side and continue back as one family with him and the kids.

We also started posting and sharing the Koreans picture full name and story in Facebook and other media. Hoping they will catch him soon so justice can be served for those who he has ruined their life!

My name is Pauline Yap and you can follow me both on Facebook or contact me on +63 977 8521 191 if you would like to help us.

So as we see Daniel struggle, we do hope you find it also to help even the smallest amount to get him back on the feet after suffering this scam and putting him in a verge of being bankrupt.

Thank you.
