Say A Final Goodbye

My husband has a lifetime very close friend who is within one month, maybe 6 weeks, of dying from cancer. They have been friends for over forty years. I've known this sweet, kind, funny friend for the 34 years my husband and I have been married. Lloyd, who is only 58, is like a big brother to both of us.

The problem is we have no means to get to another city, five hours away, to say goodbye to Lloyd. My husband receives disability, and I'm still in a non-paying worker's compensation case. My case/surgery will not happen soon enough for us to make the trip.

I'm humbly asking for any donations to assist us to travel to our friend Lloyd to say a final goodbye.

The monies will will be used as follows:  1. We will need to board our two dogs and one cat, for up to one week.  2. Obviously, we need gas, for the trip, and while we're there. 3. A decent, but inexpensive, motel for up to a week. 4. Meals during our visit. Anything beyond our personal expenses will go to Lloyd's family. I'm asking for your help, because this is a person who is so very special to my husband and me. We need to thank Lloyd for being our family. We need to tell him, one last time, in person, how much we love him.
