Donate For John’s Leg Amputation

Writing this is not easy for me. I’ve written multiple blurbs and haven’t been satisfied with any of them. They were all so robotic and factual which is not like me at all. I’ve always been very independent and love that about me therefore asking for help is extremely difficult. Unfortunately I need to let go of that pride and humble myself because I’m facing a lot right now. Not only financially, but emotionally, physically and mentally.

My name is John Posey and I am a 53 years old. I have been referred to Physiotherapy for prosthetic prescription and rehabilitation. I am suffering from peripheral neuropathy associated with uncontrolled diabetes. I unknowingly stepped up on hot coals that burned through the sole of my shoe. Poor blood supply in my leg and foot hindered wound healing, the blisters got infected and turned into foot ulcers and later severe gangrene. Numerous courses of antibiotics and specialized wound care could not stop the deterioration of the tissue. Currently my diabetes and hypertension is under control with medication but it cannot save my life. A Trans Tibial amputation needs to be done on my right leg to save me from further complications.

To say it has been a hard couple of months is an understatement, but I’m staying positive and know that I will get through this. I’ve made sure to continue to enjoy life however the last couple weeks have been extremely difficult for me as I’ve had to make many decisions regarding my treatment plan.

I don’t have the best insurance plan to begin with as I rarely got sick and holistic treatments in addition aren’t covered by my insurance.

My medical expenses are high and things are very difficult for me presently hence I need your urgent financial assistance no matter how little. God's blessings would be upon you as you donate. Luke 6:38 from New International Version (NIV) says "
