Saving Thelma: A fight against cancer!

This fundraiser is for my mother, Thelma, who is battling stage 4 lung cancer with Bone Metastasis.

In the past two years, she had undergone 4 surgeries because of the masses found in her breast. On her 4th surgery, which was last March 2019, her left breast has been completely removed. We thought she's already back in good shape and gaining back the strength that has been lost for the past two years she was in and out of the hospital.

However, last December 2019, she experienced cough and back pain which she thought was just a simple flu until she had herself checked. She got the results last January 2020. It has been confirmed -she has stage 4 Lung cancer. We asked for several opinions from different oncologists, but they said the same thing. My mama needs to undergo chemotherapy (6-8 sessions) as soonest as possible since her case is aggressive that it already metastasized to her bones (ribs).

Due to Covid-19, we are not earning enough to cover her medical bills. Our small internet cafe and printing shop is temporarily closed. My mother doesn't have insurance. She was just using her health card but was able to use the entire amount due to laboratories, check-ups and confinement. We are also doing the best we can to avail access programs and other financial assistance from various organizations.

Please help us extend my dear mama's life. She is trying her best to fight for her life and I am doing this fundraising so that we can start her chemotherapy sessions. Any financial support you can give will mean a fighting chance for her. This may be a daunting task but we know we will pull through with your help.

Please also include her and our family in your prayers. We believe that the Lord will heal her in time - we simply have to allow Him to work in our lives.
