At Approx 10:00am 2 Senior dogs in horrible shape were found abandoned in the Redlands area.

Redlands Rockpit Rescue took them immediately to safety and we were notified about them. The Shepherd is going to another safe heaven rescue, and we committed to the senior Rottweiler.

He is currently being transported to Pet Express Animal Hospital in Davie FL for safety, and starting his way to his medical foster at 4:30pm to Rugaz Rescue Inc.

We are unknown at this point the complete extent of his injuries and condition but at this point do know he has secondary bacterial infections of the skin/ears and eyes along with a long-term untreated condition of his eyes called KCS (Dry eye) that will all need immediate assessment.

We will update as we know the extent of the medical condition but posting at this time for general donations and sponsorship's for his Bloodwork/Urine and eye work up.

We are so sorry for your life prior Senior boy, but here now starts the road to recovery and then a happy ever after when you are healthy!

ANY and ALL donations are appreciated. Nothing is too small! Donations can also be made directly to our Veterinarian office at:

Animal Hospital of Regency Park 7741 Congress Street New Port Richey, FL 34653 (727)848-6247

Without you, we wouldn't be able to help them!

Riggs Update.

Update posted by Rugaz Rescue Inc at 12:20 am

Our Chandler Riggs has made it into day #2... His swelling in his face and neck has doubled in size, as we suspected would be happening as the antibiotics take effect. He's on good pain management regiment, along with extreme antibiotic and fluid therapy. He is having his entire face. . . . .

Riggs is fighting for his life...

Update posted by Rugaz Rescue Inc at 08:36 pm

Chandler Riggs Medical Pup-Date:Riggs bloodwork has come back and it's not good... He's extremely anemic, due to the severe flea and hookworm infections that we are trying to get under control currently. The blood he does have, the white cell count is off the charts due to the pure mass. . . . .
