Saving the Lives of my Premature Grand Daughters TWIN Maia and Mia

My daughter, the expectant mother had a sudden rise in blood pressure, 180/110 - 200/120. She was rushed to hospital, Southeast Asian Medical Center and underwent emergency caesarian section. A mother, Diosa Kristine had a pre eclampsia which complicated the pregnancy.

The twin baby girl, Maia and Mia were born premature, 33 weeks old with a very low birth weight of 1300 grams and 1100 grams respectively. Their lungs are not fully developed and need oxygen and tubes to breath and waited for lungs to develop so they can breath in their own. They are placed in an incubator with ventilator. However, during their feeding process thru feeding tubes, they got infected with pneumonia which complicated their development. The twin baby underwent several blood testings, xrays and blood transfusions as their platelet went down to zero and very low hemoglobin. There are several times, the twin Maia and Mia stopped to breath in 20 seconds but still fighting for their lives.

Approximately, P40,000 per day is needed to keep them in NICU. We did not see this coming and it's taking a toll on our lives emotionally, mentally and for the most, financially. There were times I talked to their mom trying to convince her to let go and then I remember, I am also a mother and I knew exactly how my daughter felt. I felt bad and remorseful after saying those. I could not look at my daughter. I should have not said it but thinking how are we going to settle the hospital bill in the end, I still have no answer for that. I think my daughter sensed that the twins are fighting and wanted to live. As the qoute says "we make a living of what we get, but we can make LIFE by what we give". I am asking for your prayers and financial assistance to let the twin Maia and Mia survive and live to see the beauty of this world.
