Last Sunday January 12, 2020 my hometown Batangas, Philippines was hit by natures unavoidable casualty. Taal Volcano erupted after 43 years of silence escalating from alert Level 2 to Level 4 in less than 24 hours and affected at least 68,439 families or 271,278 persons. Of this number, around 38,906 families or 148,514 persons remained in evacuation centers.

I Matt Jefferson Panganiban Co - Founder of Bantay Bulkang Taal at Lawa Peoples Organization Inc. together with our Board of Directors and our local Government, conducted a relief operation to help our brothers and sisters in need, bringing vital necessities like water, food, clothing and medical care. The aftermath of this disaster left its victims paralyzed as they are forced to evacuate from their homes and farm lands for their safety in case of another possible hazardous explosive eruption. Our purpose for setting up this Go get Funding Campaign is to share responsibility in our community and our members who are greatly affected by this calamity. The donated funds will be use to continue to sustain families in need during their status as evacuees until they are able to return back to their normal lives.
