SAVING SKINNY FEET’S FROM FIP

My name is Disa Espinosa. I own a cat shelter in Santiago, Chile. This fundraising aims at saving Skinny Feet’s life. A cat that has suffered but survived and now is affected by FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis), a disease that has no cure in my country.

Skinny Feet is my beloved 2 years cat. He arrived at our shelter in 2018 with just hours of been born. He came with hypothermia just as his sister Doris and other 8 kittens that were thrown to the trash. They all came extremely weak and started dying one by one. Just Doris and Skinny Feet survived, but sadly Doris died at age 2 months. Skinny Feet is a survivor, he got strong and became a beautiful adult cat. He has some physical limitations though, he can’t jump, lacks strength in his rear legs. Whenever he wants you to hold him, he reaches out with his paws for you to pull him up. He does not make any sounds, he is a mute, but, nonetheless, extremely expressive and tender.

At the beginning of 2020 his face got very slim as well as the rest of his body. We took him to the vet and did all the exams necessary. As soon as we got the exams back, we found out our beloved Skinny Feet had FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). Sadly, in Chile, we do not have a cure for this, and the end of the road is euthanasia.

The cure for FIP is available in the US and it’s called GS441. Skinny Feet needs GS administered in a daily dose of 1.72ml for 12 weeks, for a total of 29 vials at a total cost of US$2.500,62.

I refuse to give up on Skinny Feet, he deserves better and for us to fight for his life. Please help me fundraise the money needed for his treatment, and save his life
