Rugaz Rescue, a Tampa Bay area non-profit organization that rescues and adopts out hundreds of abandoned and neglected American Pit Bull Terriers (APBT’s) and Bully Breed Dogs annually, is seeking help with a nine month old puppy with severe burns that they recently rescued.
This puppy was transferred by a local animal control agency, who contacted Rugaz Rescue for assistance when upon Remo's admittance of such severe burns of unknown origin and need of emergency medical care
Remo was immediately admitted into intensive care at the Animal Hospital of Regency Park at 7741 Congress Street in New Port Richey, FL. Remo will remain in intensive care for weeks for daily monitoring, medication, wound soaking and surgical debridement of his charred skin. Furthermore, the pup will need to remain in a very controlled, sterile environment as he is extremely susceptible to infection due to the large, open wounds caused by the burns. Despite the excruciating pain from his burns, Remo is rallying! He is giving the hospital staff kisses and attempting to play.
Rugaz Rescue, a non profit organization that relies solely on support from the community, is in need of donations to help provide Remo with the medical care needed to help him heal. Donations for his care can be made directly to the Animal Hospital of Regency Park at 727-848-6247, 7741 Congress Street, New Port Richey, FL 34653 or via paypal at the non profit's website, www.RugazRescue.com.
