Patient DOMINGA VENTURA aka "Mam Ventura" a teacher for 30 years at Buli Elementary School.

Diagnosis: Very Severe Aplastic Anemia (description below)

Diagnosis History: Been in and out of the Hospital since August 2018. Badly needed Platelets transfusions and donors because of bleeding.

Needed funding for the ATG treatment (description below) amounting to P 800,000.00.

I am Cedi Aguinaldo Ventura son of Dominga Aguinaldo Ventura. My mom is a public school teacher for 30 years. She is a kind, caring and loving mom not just for me but for her students and nieces and nephew’s too.

Now she is diagnosed with Very Severe Aplastic Anemia.

Aplastic anemia is a condition that occurs when your body stops producing enough new blood cells. Aplastic anemia leaves you feeling fatigued and with a higher risk of infections and uncontrolled bleeding. A rare and serious condition, aplastic anemia can develop at any age. Aplastic anemia may occur suddenly, or it can occur slowly and get worse over a long period of time. Treatment for aplastic anemia may include medications, blood transfusionsstem cell transplant, or ATG (Anti-thymocyte globulin).

For her to have a normal blood count she needs blood transfusions every 5 to 8 days. We have been dependent on her platelet transfusions and red blood transfusions on red cross, PGH blood bank and other sources but even after days of transfusions her platelet count continues to drop. Weekly she has atleast 8 bags of platelets and 1 bag of packed red blood cell (PRBC) just to stop her bleeding. For her age it is very hard to cure. But we will take a chance on it because I need to see my mom smile with no worries. For her to have a chance to be cured she needs to undergo through ATG (Anti-Thymocyte Globulin).

Anti-thymocyte globulin is a sterilized solution made of the cells of rabbits that have been injected with white blood cells from humans. Anti-thymocyte globulin lowers your body's immune system. The immune system helps your body fight infections. The immune system can also fight or "reject" a transplanted organ such as a liver or kidney. This is because the immune system treats the new organ as an invader.

WE NEED TO RAISE 800,000 PESOS FOR IT.

We are doing everything we can for my mom to be cured. Our family is knocking into your hearts for any amount or even blood donations, any type of blood type will do.

If you are willing to be a blood donor kindly proceed to PGH blood bank for screening and just submit my mothers name and her patient number.

My mother’s name is DOMINGA AGUINALDO VENTURA and her patient number is 000 454 9115 at PGH (Philippine General Hospital). if you successfully donated, kindly contact us through (09979039971) so we can properly thank you and get the validation slip of your donation.

Me and my family, from the bottom of our hearts wants to thank you and we want to let you know we truly appreciate even though you don’t know us you are still willing to help. Every single donation will save my mom’s life. Thank you and have a great day!
