Saving Marielle Grace from Aortic Aneurysm

We are humbly knocking your most benevolent hearts to extend your prayers and any financial assistance to my family. My sister, MARIELLE GRACE AMPARO FRANCISCO-TANTOY-ENIOLA needs an immediate operation due to AORTIC ANEURYSM.

Few months ago, my sister noticed sudden palpitations that would not last beyond 30 seconds even if she is at rest, and without caffeine consumption. This gives her the urge to consult a doctor last January. Her ECG results turned out to be normal, but she was advised to visit a Cardiologist and have a 2D echo for her peace of mind. However, Enhanced Community Quarantine came and none of it happened.

As part of the skeleton workforce, my sister worked onsite in Pasig City, Philippines under a new Call Center account since April 28. When ECQ was lifted, she immediately scheduled for the month-long desire to have her looked a Cardiologist and have a 2D ECHO Test. Fortunately, thanks to her HMO(Healthcare), she was able to get one scheduled for free in Maxicare Bridgetown.

Finally, she got it on July 7, 2020. The attending 2D Echo operator told her that the result will be after 3 days, nonetheless she was given an overview that her condition is not normal. Supposedly, Dr. Marwin should give her a Fit to Work certificate; but instead, she was advised to be rushed to an Emergency Room the soonest possible

The Doctor said that the normal female size aorta is no more than 3.00 cm. And he was so alarmed because hers was already 5.92cm. There's a possibility that anytime her aorta raptures and cause her internal bleeding... and a fatal death.

In her mind, everything seems pretty normal since she was asthmatic. However, she still followed the Doctor's recommendation to confirm it. When she arrived at The MEDICAL CITY Hospital, she was immediately catered with utmost priority and undergone CT scan. Then they found out her aorta is already at 7.6cm, not 5.92. She was then diagnosed with a rare case of Aortic Aneurysm and Dissection and was told that she needs to undergo an emergency surgery.

From a simple check-up, she was rushed to the ER instead, and was escalated to ICU of the same Hospital. The quoted total bill was beyond our family can imagine and her company HMO wont be able to cover it. With the recommendation of her Dr, my sister was transferred to Philippine Heart Center to do her operation. Unfortunately, the entire procedure will cost 50,985.00 US Dollars or 2.5 Million Pesos.

Supposedly, her surgery was scheduled last July 22, 2020, Wednesday. Unfortunately, a day prior her operation, she turned out to be positive with Covid19. Her Surgeon confirmed that it will be great danger and definitely she will not make it if the operation was pushed through since her lungs will not sustain it.

With God’s mighty grace and your prayers, on August 06, 2020 my sister is free of the virus. We are now waiting for her new operation schedule this August.

Normally, Aortic Aneurysm is prone to those aged individuals with hypertension and vices. My sister wont fit to any of those description, she’s young, no hypertension, and does not have any vices which make us all wonder why she got the rare disease.

This is exact diagnosis: Ascending Aorta and Aortic root Aneurysm Secondary to chronic aorta dissection with severe aortic regurgitation.
