Saving Luke’s leg

On Saturday 20th April our sons kitten Luke escaped out of an open window. Luke is a black, 6mth old who we have had microchipped and neutered in the small amount of time we have had him.   Sadly during the two hours that we searched for him he was hit by a car, receiving extensive injuries to his pelvis and femur. Luke had 4 weeks free insurance from when we registered him at our vet, however this lapsed 2 days before the accident and I hadn't taken out another policy.   His injuries are survivable and he will fully recover, therefore I could not contemplate another option than to try and find the £650 required to fix him ( pins, wires and possibly a plate) Obviously as soon as he is home we will be taking out insurance to cover for any future illness/injury.   Luke is sweet and loving, out two sons adore him. He is best friends with our 4 yr old Boston Terrier and she is lost without him.    Any assistance in tin helping cover his vets cost would be greatly appreciated and we of course will pay the kindness forward to others.
