Generally, there is increased awareness of the role of medical laboratory investigations in standard health care delivery in recent times. This has led to an increased growth rates of the diagnostic sector in Ghana. The fast growing industry is headed towards providing healthcare services as an integrated comprehensive package rather than the traditional concept of providing healthcare infrastructure and reactive medical care. Among the middle and high-income families in Ghana there is a rapidly increasing health consciousness which leads to high demand on preventive health care. However, the rural sector is being overlooked in terms adequate diagnostic medicine. I am a medical student of Univesity for Development studies and my project is to set up medical laboratories in the rural parts of the minority sector of Ghana to improve health care delivery. In the rural sector,  there has been poor healthcare delivery due to improper diagnoses because of the unavailability of a standard medical laboratory and unavailability of medical laboratory scientists. This problem has led to over thounsand complications and death from otherwise curable and preventable diseases such as Malaria, typhoid, Hepatitis, pregnancy related issues and more. I have develop completely a plan to help reduce this problem if not solve it completely. I need your help to achieve this dream. Your penny might actually safe hundreds of thousands of lives.
