Hi, my name is Elaine Ogayan. I'm the wife of Hudson. I am from Quezon City, Philippines, while he is from Hingyon, Ifugao, Philippines. I’m 38 years old, and my husband is 41.
Here's how it started: my husband started complaining for his backache last Sept. 2017. Then he had his check up at St. Luke’s Hospital QC, then the doctor saw his xray film and told him that he suspected a mass in his lungs. Then, he took a CT scan on Sept. 25, 2017, and it was confirmed. After that, he was scheduled for a fine needle biopsy on Oct. 6, 2017. When he got the result, i asked him how was it, then he began to cry. We prayed to God and asked for guidance on what to do about it.
We have a churchmate who also had cancer. She used alternative meds, which was recommended by a medical doctor who was also a cancer survivor. Until now, she is maintaining a diet. Now, she is cancer-free. And so my husband was encouraged to do the same. He ordered bulk of nutritional supplements from Symmetry Global (now Xyngular). He also maintained a healthy diet: veggies, fruits, rice, no meat; that's what the doctor told him when we met her. He still can do sports like hiking, volleyball, and badminton. But it seemed that the protocol did not work for him.
On February 2018, he started feeling a headache. A friend referred a medical doctor who was also a herbalist at the same time. Her name is Dr. Farrah Agustin-Bunch. She has a cancer treatment center located in Victoria, Tarlac. She has also a facebook page, and there were many positive feedbacks and testimonies about her. And so, my husband was encouraged to had a check up there. Until he was admitted in Tarlac on March 16, 2018 for a natural treatment. The ward costs Php 125k, good for a 20-day treatment, including meals for the relative caregiver. But the doctor advised him to be isolated in a private room since his condition is delicate and may cause harm to other patients. That costs Php 185k which is much expensive. But then we were blessed to have friends, officemates, and relatives who shared their blessings with us. While he was there, he experienced seizures, and so the doctor advised him for a brain CT scan. We found out the cancer cells spread in his left brain, which caused his headache and seizures. That's why the right side of his body is weak. He was given a treatment for the brain tumor, and finally the seizure went out. Thank God for that.
After the first 20 days of treatment, he decided for a home treatment. He must maintain his diet. (By the way, his diet is all organic: veggies, eggs, etc. no fruits, no rice, they call it ketogenic diet. It must be low in carb. Rice and fruits convert to sugar which cancer cells like.) And also, he must continue the herbal treatment himself. He needed to order herbal leaves from Tarlac in order to continue that. He survived home treatment for almost 2 weeks, but then he again experienced a severe headache with vomiting. So we went to an emergency room in a hospital near us in Quezon City for his headache relief. We told the ER doctor about my husband's case. So the doctor gave him pain relievers, but my husband was still in pain. It's hard for him to talk because of the headache. The next day, still, he's in pain. So he decided to go back to the treatment center in Tarlac. He was weak then. Good thing there's an available room for him to be admitted.
His headache went away, but after a month, the severe headache came back. We thought he’s getting better, but its the other way around, he’s getting weaker and weaker. Now, we need to decide if he should try other ways, since it seemed that his body is no longer responding to the alternative meds. Maybe not all who have cancers are responding to a natural way.
As of now, he is no longer taking the alternative meds. A batchmate of him who is a doctor in Baguio General Hospital (BGH) invited him to try the conventional way which is the chemotherapy. He already took the radiotherapy for 10 sessions for his brain tumor. Now, he is taking chemotherapy for his lungs, and at the same time bone therapy since cancer cells started spreading in his bones. His chemo treatment is every 3 weeks, and the meds is almost 80k per session.
We believe that through this website, we may touch one's heart and be able to collect funds for my husband's medical assistance. We need it as soon as possible so he may continue his cancer treatment and be cancer-free. We are missing him at home already, especially our daughter who needs his father's presence as she grows.
As Hudson's wife, I pray that God will touch your heart. As of now, we do not know where to get financial help, but God will provide. Thank you very much in advance. God will continue to bless you in return. God bless you.
