We moved to the quiet Gabrovtsi village a while back. There were 2-3 stray cats around but once food was available, more came. They even brought their babies to feed. Bulgarians tend to throw new born babies into rivers instead of looking after them. We did not. A little bit of love and you can change an animal 's life forever! At one time we had 30 cats: males, females and all their babies. Unfortunately most kittens succumb to diseases, especially parvovirus and PIF. The struggle of eradicating viruses never ends unless the females are treated and spayed. We now have 12 stray female cats. We neutered two and will take the rest to the vet as wwant to help the others not to bear babies any more.
