Bustrails Environmental Centre was hit hard by COVID and associated regulations. On top of this, on the 16th of September, the New Thorndale Valley went up in smoke. It started in the North West about 12 km from the centre and due to the high winds reached Bushtrails and beyond within 2 hours. A total of 7500 hectares are gone. Bushtrails lost 3 staff houses, a chicken house with 200 3 week old broiler chick and lots of water pipes. The forest is still burning now, the huge giant 120-year-old gum trees are falling over and the obstacle course was obliterated.

MEAD Legends has been visiting Liz and Bustrails for years and she is a member of our extended family. We'd like to lend a helping hand. Cash donations are welcome, but we are also looking for other items e.g. construction materials to help rebuild.
