Meet "Bruno". This bubbly, sweet 8 month old puppy has already experienced so much pain in his short time here on earth. He came into a local animal services shelter unable to put any weight on his rear leg, which had a makeshift bandage made out of electrical tape. Once the electrical tape was removed and radiographs were taken, it was revealed that Bruno had a fracture of both his tibia and fibula.
After several pleas to the community, volunteers, and rescue groups, no one was able to help him. Bruno was slated to be put to sleep. Literally just before he was taken to the euthanasia room, we were able to find a temporary foster for Bruno. We called the shelter immediately and gave them the good news. Everyone was so relieved because he is such a sweet boy. He deserves a chance.
Bruno will need at least one surgery to relieve his pain and regain the use of his rear leg. (The leg will have pins surgically implanted to help his bones heal which will later be removed.) His leg can be saved with surgery, time and rehabilitation. Help Bruno be able to walk, run and play as a puppy should! He's only 8 months old and deserves to have a happy, healthy full life, but we need your help to give that to him!
