Baby Lucas Miguel Yumang Cruz was born last Sept 09, 2017 in St. Lukes Global under Social Welfare (discounted rates). No one anticipated that he would have complications upon birth but unfortunately he had issues that needed to be dealt with.
He has two holes in his heart, he has various infections and his liver is swelling up. The cause of which was because of the "coarctation of the aorta." His aorta is narrow resulting to lack of blood flow to his lower body. He is given a medication to help with the blood flow but will need surgery otherwise it would be fatal.
He is currently in the NeoNatal ICU being monitored 24x7 and we are working on him being transferred to PGH for the surgery to be done. The surgery does not have a 100% success rate but we want to give Lucas a chance to live.
How much the surgery will cost is still unknown and our current hospital bill is still continuing to grow.
We need your prayers for Lucas and are appealing for financial assistance for the hospital bill and surgery. Many with golden hearts have extended their help, prayers and donations and we are forever greatful.

Update posted by Lucas Miguel Cruz at 11:01 amBaby Lucas is fighting and very active with the help of medicine and antibiotics. He needs immediate heart surgery for his narrow aorta and we are hoping to transfer him to PGH (Philippine General Hospital) by tomorrow once all the paperwork has been sorted out.
