Saving A Mother’s Life: A campaign to aid medical treatment

Above all names you may call her, she is a mother who endlessly supported her children throughout the time. MARIVIC LAUD is a 59-year old resident from Iloilo City who is currently battling majority with pneumonia and thyroid problem.

Before and amidst this pandemic, she may be spared from the virus but she continuously to win her life and survive from these diseases and numerous complications. Her breathing is supported by oxygen 24/7 since her lungs are filled with fluid that is caused by the mass/es found all over her thyroid. Perhaps, uncertain up to now as to what is the exact state of Marivic, but numerous test are still being run. In fact, her doctors are now advising the family to prepare for a possible chemotherapy.

At the moment, she is confined at Iloilo Doctor's Hospital (Iloilo City, Visayas, Philippines) after being treated and discharged from different hospitals reaching up to 4 times now. Apparently, her condition doesn't get any better yet after the series of tests, laboratories, and medications done. Her whole family has been struggling a lot -- mentally, emotionally, and financially causing this campaign to be created. What adds to the agony aside from the current situation and the pandemic is that her eldest child has been diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer Stage 2 few months before Marivic's diseases prospered.

Marivic really wanted to continue to live. She wanted to see more of life. Her desire to see her children more is so strong that despite the undescribable difficulty, SHE IS PRAYING TO HEAL. SHE IS BATTLING TO LIVE. SHE EARNESTLY WANTED TO LIVE.

Only by God's grace that we are all relying, and with true faith we believe and fervently pray that Marivic will get better in God's perfect time. As we continue to win this battle, we humbly ask all of you for prayers for her healing and strength, and her daughter's as well.
