Hi there, my name is Nor Azdan (Dan) - and recently me and my gf found a stray cat that was abandoned in a dumpster room on the 18th floor of my gf’s apartment. (Yeah, I know....18th floor dumpster).

Seeing that the cat was very sick, malnourished, dirty, and had its lower lip infected and literally was decaying, we decided to bring him to an animal hospital. Unfortunately we found him at 12.30 am (midnight) and therefore was forced to bring him to a 24-hour private vet hospital.

Upon first consultation - the cat is assumed to have been a victim of a car accident / human abuse - first diagnose is that his left rear leg is broken and swollen, has acute and severe flu from being out in the open for the whole day, lower lip is badly infected and is deformed, malnourished due to damaged lower lips and therefore unable to feed himself.

We named him “Dumpster” as the vet needed a name to register him in the hospital - currently Dumpster is being boarded and taken care at Gasing Veterinary Hospital (feel free to visit!) and the expected first bill is as follows -:

a) After hours consultations - MYR 200

b) IV injection, cleaning, boarding - MYR 120/day (expected at least 2-3 days)

c) X-ray for broken leg - MYR 100

d) Medicines, etc (dependent on X-ray result which will be done once Dumpster is stronger, maybe in 1-2 days) - MYR 200

All in all, we are expecting to spend around MYR 1,000~ to rehabilitate Dumpster and bring him back to healthy conditions. While this might not be a tremendously huge sum, we are hoping that some kind souls will help us in bringing Dumpster back to life.

p.s - my gf was bitten by Dumpster while we were rescuing him, and had to be taken to a hospital for treatment, but that’s another story.

Any help received will purely go to Dumpster’s rehabilitation and medical cost - proof and details of treatment will be provided with updates.

Currently we have paid a total of MYR 500 for deposit to the hospital in order to start treatment and boarding for Dumpster
