At para we believe that every living thing and being should be heard. We are not a movement, we are the words to the sounds that the animals cooperate with that us humans cannot understand. At PARA we aim to decrease the number of abounded, dumped and stray animals. You may ask how do you do this? how can you do this.
Well yes it is definitely easier said than done! BUT IT IS NOT IMPOSSIBLE.
Animal trade is a business that cannot be stopped in many countries, it’s like waiting for a cat to meow! There is always a way to work around issues! Now what is the main issue with selling animals! It is not selling animals, yes you read right! IT IS SELLING ANIMALS IRRESPONSIBLY.
We try to tackle the problem from the cause! Starting at the root will help smooth out the foundation.
For the passed 8 years we have seen everything you can imagine as well as rescued every animal you can think off ! Yes that is how bad it is. But we don’t blame the people! If we jot down some point about our country! We live in a very young country, with minimal culture values and experience with animals, can you cause change of culture behaviors. Cultural values are passed on from generation to generation. This is where education falls into place, these culture vales and attitudes need to be updated we can some what put it that way. The easiest way is education! If we don’t educate how can we hold someone accountable for information they don’t know and information we are not giving them access to.
Animal Welfare, we need to scream louder! We need to stand up taller and work hand in hand to achieve improvements.
Stray animals - they are not harmful ! They won’t give you diseases! to be honest 99% stray animals are too scared to approach humans. Thus is why stray animals are mostly found in rural areas, such as industrial areas. Stray cats come on stray cats keep the real pests away! Such as the rodents! Rats! Mice. Yes cats help keep our streets clean. We do not have to love animals to be involved, we just need to be human and have compassion for all of gods creations.
At Para we are a very very small team, that raise our voices and hope for improvement over time.
We are hopeful.
Along side this we believe that no soul should be left to suffer! No soul should be a victim to abuse as ever soul matters as the end of the day. Since our journey we have taken on a vast amount of animals- Cats and dogs. All from various sources such as , backyard breeders , pet shops, animals surrendered, dumped animals, abused animals, abused strays, injured strays. No matter what source what breed or what size we believe they are all entitled to be helped.
Our philosophy at para is quality ! What is the quality of life we can provide this animal with ! Can we ensure that this animal under our care will be receiving the basic essentials required? Will the animal be exercised enough, will the animal get to experience human interaction, Will the animal get the individual care? Will the animal be introduced to living in a home? Will the animal be mentally stimulated? Will the animal receive a healthy diet? Will the animal receive the required vet care? Will the animal be given a fair and equal chance! Just as any other animal?
These are some questions we ask our self before we take in a new animal under out care.
At PARA we are against any sort of kenneling system, we are against taking animals away from freedom and confining them to a crate, yes they might get a certain amount of socializing and walking, but In the long run this is not an ideal setup for any animal. This Is why we work out of foster homes, Cause when we take on an animal! We vouch and promise to care for each and everyone of them as one of our own, and in order to provide them with this quality of life! So this is why we recommended fostering, it isn’t a long term commitment and its a good deed!
Sadly sometimes use are forced to place animals in boarding! It kills us but we have to make tough calls at times, and this is why we started a dog walking Voulnteer program.
We are not funded by any sort of government, entity, individual of any sort! We DEPEND on the communities help and contribution in any way possible. True fact, we have to also always take into consideration that saving and helping animals is n to cheap. This is why we need our communities help. No amount is too little.
We currently have a pending vet bill of 200 thousand for all the animals that have come in under our care, 74 thousand for the animals that have to spend months on end in boarding, as not even one single family opened up their hearts and homes to them.Yes we do charge adoption fees but these fees barely and rarely cover the medical expenses, let alone boarding, food and grooming.
we stretch our hands out to you, can you help us be heard? Can you help these animals be heard? Can you imporve the life quality of all animals in the Uae?
We cannot do it alone!
