Save Nonoy

Hello, I'm Adrian Casis III, I’m asking for some donations to finance my Papa Nonoy’s medical expenses since our livelihood is also affected by the pandemic, and most of my savings are all dried out now.

My Papa had a fever last Aug. 8-9 after that it was back to normal. But on the 11th until yesterday, he was complaining of feeling weak and having shortness of breath. He had his blood work done and urinalysis but everything was normal, with a slight creatinine elevation but his doctor said it was nothing to be concerned about. He suggested a chest X-ray.

Last Aug. 17, I fetched him from the house and took him to get his X-ray done. Preliminary reading was he had pneumonia. The ER doctor said she suggests admission. I consulted with his doctor and my sister and we decided to have him admitted, the problem was most, if not, all hospitals are at full capacity. His doctor managed to find a slot for him at Metro Antipolo Hospital. I drove him there as soon as I could.

The sad thing is, because COVID-19 has the same pneumonia like symptoms, they will treat it as such just to be sure and because of the current health protocols, I felt my heart breaking as I couldn't even hug or kiss papa.

No visitors allowed in the hospital until he gets discharged. And also as a safety measure I decided to self quarantine myself and assist my mother here in San Mateo.

The hospital said that estimated cost per day is at P50,000 - P70,000 per day. This includes the cost for the medicines, room, equipment, lab tests, and most importantly the doctors and nurses' PPE.
