Save Knight

Hello there, kind heart.

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to visit this page. My name is Valerie and I am 22 of age. I am working to provide for myself, studies and future without the aid of my family (as we are on bad terms) and recently, my baby boy Knight, a tabby cat, was rushed to the vet in the middle of the night. Upon the vet's consultation, Knight was found to have a urinal block and that condition itself is fatal. Of course while I am working to save every cent for his medical bills, the total amount is a hefty sum that is causing a huge strain on my finances. I've already exhausted all my funds and have borrowed huge sums from friends just to cover his surgery deposit and I'm still short of money. I am doing my best to save every cent and dollar for his medical expenses and please don't misunderstand, I'm not complaining. I'm willing to do everything and anything just to have him home healthy and well again, but I've always believed in the kindness of strangers and I do hope that there are kind souls out there who are able to feel my pleas and help donate and/or share.

Knight was recused from my secondary school one evening when I was having CCA and I adopted him and his sister immediately. He was the cheekiest, most playful and endearing kitten, always the one who jumps the highest and eats the fastest. Knight and his sister Twilight, have been in my care for 6 years now and although they came from the same litter, they are worlds apart from each other. Knight grew up to be a strong, handsome but very shy cat. If you are someone he has never met before, he will hide himself until he grows accustomed to you. However, once you gain his trust, he will be the most loving, adorable and gentle cat you will ever meet. During bed time, he will use your feet as a pillow and soundly fall asleep. In the mornings when he gets hungry, I will always wake up to the sight of his big brown eyes watching me and the moment I make the slightest movement, he will start crying for his breakfast. The sweetest thing about him is that he never wakes me up on purpose, he always patiently waits for me to wake up before meowing ever so loudly.

Knight so far is everyone's favorite even though I have two more cats living with me. Everyone tells me he's the most docile, gentle and loving cat, and they love feeding him treats just to see him meow and jump in excitement. Recusing Knight was one of the best things that has ever happened to me as he has helped me with my Depression tremendously. I've been battling Depression since I was 13 and adopting Knight at 16 really helped with my mental health. Whenever I was having a breakdown or a really bad ordeal, Knight has always been the first to come up to me and rub his head against my feet. He would continually rub his head against me or lie next to me until I calmed down. He really is the sweetest cat and I am willing to go to any mile just to save him.

His medical bills have totaled to a minimal sum of $3,200 with oral medications instead of jabs as it is an effort to keep costs low. Knight is badly missed by my two other cats, my friends and of course myself. My bed feels too empty with him taking up my leg space. I really do hope I can bring him home soon.
