Im a firefighter emt in new hanover county nc. Cost of living is high. Pay is low. 46th out of 52 states and terretories,for pay. Ive had ptsd for going in 6 years now that has taken a told on me, my family, and my life. So i decided to get help. In comes Var an 8 month old german shepherd. Shes a great pup but still needs to finish training. Service dog training is expensive. I applied for a program called TADSAR. They contracted out a trainer that is supposed to work with us for free. Well after one week of training she decided that working for free for this program isnt what she wants so she tried charging me. Well im broke. I make barely enough to keep food in the fridve and the lights on at night, let alone pay booko bucks to train my dog. And with my impatience and anger issuez that stem from the ptsd, its not easy.

Then theres Tye, an amazing smart talented 10 year old boy. My son. Who through no fault of his own, (horrible genetics) now needs a dental procedure to correct the ongoing problems with his teeth. 8k is what the doctor wants up front. Insurance covers very little. Denied medicaid because i "make too much" schools and clinics wont do the work. I dont know all the medical mumbojumbo, all i know is its not just getting braces. Doc said they make have to break and reset his mandable.

So its come down to money. Either i scrounge up what i can and pay for my dogs training. Or i got the father router, set all my feelungs and problems aside , to try and raise money for my son. Im a dad, family first, my son needs this done. Or he will lose 6 teeth, and have constant problems with his mouth for life. So i am begging you, the community.
