Save the Rohingya

As you may or may not know, an ethnic cleansing is taking place in the country of Myanmar. The nation’s army is burning down villages, sexually abusing women and children, murdering as many people as they can, forcing the Rohingya to leave everything behind and risk their lives to find shelter in Bangladesh, where they risk all types of diseases and 1 in four children is underfed. The international community and media have been extremely silent about this ongoing issue and the country’s leader is doing nothing about it. The money this fundraiser earns will be going to MuslimAid.org to provide food and other basic needs for the Rohingya.

Everyone kept asking me what I wanted for my 17th birthday and my answer would be: ‘world peace’ and I feel like this might be a step towards it.
