I have 6 year old German Shepard called Faith who desperately needs help.....
A few weeks ago we had a horrible incident where faith jumped over the fence due to a scare from a motorbike back firing, I found her a few hours later at her favourite park scared but with company of another large dog.
3 weeks ago she started acting very strange, vomiting and wanting more food and cuddles, I took her to the vets for a check up to find out my innocent baby girl is now pregnant.
I'm writing this because last night she went into a very difficult labour over the duration of 10hours 3 beautiful puppies were born and are healthy (very clear that the dog was extra large) during this period I was speaking to the emergency vet as I was concerned due to the time scale, the amount of mess and smell coming from faith.
at 9 this morning the vet told me to bring her straight in, they done an X-Ray to find another at least 4 puppies still Stuck inside her.
After hearing this the vet gave me only 2 options,
1) put faith to sleep
2)emergency Caesarian to get the other puppies out and to save my faith.
I wasn't going to loose my best friend over this so I agreed to do the Emergency Caesarian straight away, thinking my insurance with Aminal Friends would cover this.
I've spoken to the insurance provider and they have told me they do not cover pregnancies.
So I now have my best friend undergoing the operation as I type and I'm now owing the vets £2,700.
Please help me and faith in this horrible situation, if you are able to help us I will update on her progress within surgery and if the remaining puppies survive.
Love Mel and Faith xx
