Despite the massive evidence from media and well-wishers, the Kenyan goverment is still in denial that people living in the drought-stricken Northern part of the country are dying of starvation due to the on-going drought.
Turkana, which is believed to be the cradle of mankind, lies in the arid north of the country bordering Ethiopia and war-stricken South Sudan. It has been playing host to refugees from Sudan for decades.
The recent catastrophe dated from February 2019 has been politicized while the poor continue to face the wrath. More than 50 people are believed to have died and another 1million in need of relief, but the government has not made an effort to have aid sent to the area leaving it for well-wishers and philanthropists including local celebrities ,left-wing politicians and the Kenya Red Cross.

We have received an overwhelming support from citizens donating foodstuffs, blankets, clothes and funding through our Safaricom Till number 479930 amounting to a total of Ksh 987,600. We however appeal to whom it may concern to continue supporting this good cause as we hope to set up camp there as soon as possible.
