Save the horses – Give them water!

Please help us to keep the horses, we need water for the property!

Nine years ago, I rescued 6 horses from the racetrack where they were badly neglected. My husband and I took them in and slowly built up a beautiful stable yard. These horses are my children, as I cannot have children.

Five years ago, my husband was diagnosed with multiple myeloma (bone marrow cancer). He deteriorated rapidly, and even after a stem cell transplant two years ago, he unfortunately passed away in September 2018, leaving me with a huge amount of debt and my horses to look after.

Obviously my life changed drastically, and being a single woman on a smallholding, I was faced with many challenges, especially financial, as my husband had been the sole bread winner.

I have been fortunate enough to find full time employment, which enables me to provide for my horses.

However, in a stroke of extremely bad luck, I now find myself in a position where we have experienced drought over the last few years, which has caused my borehole to run dry. This means we have no water.

Me and my horses need your help to fund the drilling of a new borehole, which means that we can keep going.
