Save the Farm Sanctuary

The nonprofit association “Four-legged friends” is the first Bulgarian shelter for animals who suffered because of human violence and indifference. Our primary mission, besides helping and taking care of animals, is work with children. We help them to accept the rescued creatures in a different way – to sense their emotions and feelings, to see the twinkles in their eyes as they emit love and trust. Children love tales. And in each one there is drama and a happy end. This is our tale. By awakening the love and compassion in their hearts we make our stand against evil in all its shapes and forms. Our animals are infinitely grateful, they are joyful when visited and they do what they can do best – show children that there is a world full of love and harmony.

The expenses for maintaining the farm sanctuary, such as food and veterinary care for our forty rescued animals exceed 2000 leva per month (1025 Euro). At the moment we don’t have a regular sponsor, which brings constant uncertainty and fear for the future of “Four-legged friends”. We rely only on publications in social media and charity campaigns, which call for compassionate people in Bulgaria to support us if they are capable and willing to do so. Sadly, most of the time we hardly acquire the minimal needed resources – a few people take part and the effectiveness of such campaigns is becoming less and less reliable.

For the farm sanctuary to be alive and continue it's mission - a main priority to us is keeping the animals fed and healthy. Thanks to bales of hay and straw, bags of corn and barley, dog and cat food. We want you to know that your help can literally save lives. With your support we can continue to do what we were doing till now. To oppose evil in all its types, all its variations, by simply doing exactly the opposite and giving a peaceful example. Express love and compassion. And teach others to do so as well.
