Save the dogs at the Sotira pound

Hey there, I know you must get these type of requests all the time.
But I'm just going to try it, who knows it might actually help.
The thing is we've got major problems with animal welfare in Cyprus.
The shelters that are run by the municipality have a 15 day PTS rule.
So they end up dying for no other reason than that they're there.. and I feel so powerless.
Its absolutely heartbreaking.
There's a woman Angie that took over the Sotira Pound and is trying her very best to get the dogs adopted etc..
But she needs volunteers and because there are so many different shelters, pounds, sanctuaries etc but not enough people to physically help.
Clean the cages, walk them once a day, feed them. They are inside 22 hours a day. Many dogs!
Angie does so much for them, she just needs help.
And today was the second time she was going to put in her notice because she's overtired, overworked, stressed and again she postponed it as she loves the dogs so much and is hoping for a better outcome.
All the work is voluntary, if she was not there to do it the dogs would have been dead a long time ago.
These dogs are amazing, yes some had a horrible past but they are still so friendly and loving.
Employing someone to help Angela with the 26 dogs (could become more) would be the best thing for her. She's got her own 11 dogs, a shop and house to maintain next to all the work she does at and around the pound.
Not enough volunteers to go around unfortunately :'(
Numerous cries for help but nearly to no offers..
I would like to ask you if you could make a difference and help this woman help the dogs at the Sotira pound.
❤️

Adoption!
Update posted by Nicola Lennard at 09:41 amGreat news, yesterday Archie the pitbull was adopted by a local volunteer! Tomorrow there will be a home check done abroad, as someone is interested in adopting sweet but terrified Joschie (doggie in the picture). Hope it all goes well and he will have a forever home! I would love. . . . .
What we will do with the funds
Update posted by Nicola Lennard at 11:39 amWe would like to employ a man who would work 4 hours a day, 5 days a week for only 300eu a month. The funds would be used to pay him for two years :)300 euro ×12 months = 3600euro × 2years = 7200euro

An enormous thank you to you all for your kindness and generosity. I(Angie), Marie and some amazing volunteers are continuing to limp along on a shoestring budget and relying on the kindness of others to help. We have repatriated a lost dog to sweden, three dogs arrived yesterday in uk, joschi.. In the flesh!! Is soon flying to Amsterdam, and a further three fly on the 14th. Another older dog has mammary tumours, she has had surgery, and needs a quiet recovery. We are still overwhelmed by dogs continuing to be dumped, bless you for your kindness and thoughts
