On Friday the 3rd of August I had a major health scare in the form of blood in my stool, the following Monday I went to a doctor and upon further inspection she gave me anti-biotics and helped me change my diet around, to make the process of everything leaving my body easier.
She did, however, suggest that I get a colonoscopy before the end of the year, just to be on the safe side. On the 20th of August, the blood returned.
I don't want to believe its cancer, and as the doctor said, it might just be either a bacterial thing, or a lesion causing this, but the blood did return, so this might be serious. To add to this, I had to cancel my medical aid last year so that I could afford to get Jambalaya (my golden labrador) his required medication, don't worry he is fine, he is just at that age.
The colonoscopy works out to $ 1000.00, but another $500.00 is added on top of that due to the fluctuating South African Rand to the US Dollar, and everything that is made after the $1000.00 will go towards alleviating other expenses like rent and Jamba's meds.
