SPTMBR. Black owned fashion brand start up in Japan.

WHO WE ARE
I am a black man, a father, and U.S. Navy veteran living in Japan. In September of 2020 Istarted a fashion brand with my youngest son Jordan (who is now serving).

WHY
We started this brand after being inspired by the way people of all colors and backgrounds came together after the brutal murder of George Floyd. Suddenly it seemed hopeful that the world could actually change and we wanted to find a platform for which we could keep that love, hope & unity alive.

OUR STORY
September is the month of rebirth and new beginnings. It is the ninth month of the year and the number nine is associated with spiritual reawakening, humanitarianism and positivity. With those qualities in mind, we thought SPTMBR. was the perfect name to reflect the positive energy of our brand.

It was an ambitious dream that my son and I started with what little money we had. We’ve gone as far as we can using our own money and are now asking for your help. We’ve had quite a few setbacks but they have only made us even more determined than ever to make SPTMBR. a success story. We believe our mission of spreading love, positivity and unity is especially needed in the world today.

DEADLINE
Although we don't necessarily have a deadline, we would like to get started on our mission as soon as possible and we need your help to do so. “Help” can come in many forms, not just donations. We could really use the help of endorsements from fashion conscientious celebrities and/or social media influencers. Collaborations with talented artists and other designers etc... If you are or have connections to anyone like that, we would appreciate if you could introduce us.

REWARDS
We are asking for small donations to help us out, but we don’t expect something for nothing, we are going to launch an incredible product line we have in mind for next summer called “Be Love” [B🖤]. This new line will feature the artwork of talented artists such as graphic designers, painters, photographers and others artists like this gorgeous piece below by one of our favorite fine art photographers.

Additionally, as a special thank you to those of you who help us continue this journey, we are preparing a line of clothing we are calling “Founder’s Edition” that will not be for sale. This very exclusive “Founder’s Edition” line will feature a prestigiously chic black-on-black design that will only be available to our top tier donators. Lastly, we are awarding extra special gifts to our mid level donators as well.

FINAL THOUGHTS
In short, we just want to do our small part in trying to make the world a better place using the tools and talent we have been granted. All my life, I’ve worked in fashion and entertainment. This is what I know and have available to me. I hope you will give me the means and opportunity to use what I know to make a positive difference.
