Save Sookie Smith

I live on a 60 acre property with horses, cats, and my dog. So we are used to getting and taking in the accostumed stray. About 2 weeks ago, two lovely dogs showed up. So we took them in while we tried to find their owner. We found their owner and he never came and got them.

And on Thursday, they both got out and poor Sookie Smith (as we took to calling her) got hit by a car that drove off.

The vet said that her femur was broken into 3 pieces and she would require immediate surgery. Either by amputation for 800 dollars or to put a metal plate in for 1200.

My family doesn't have this kind of money to dedicate toward a dog that we were only fostering. If you have any amount of spare cash, please help pay for her surgery. She is really the sweetest thing and deserves to be well again.
