Year in and year out, South African farmers have seen wildfires take everything they’ve earned and worked hard for in a blink of an eye. This year, South African farmers has seen fires early. We have seen multiple fires taking lives the past weeks related to WATER SHORTAGE, power cuts, heatwaves and the coronavirus pandemic in and around South Africa, and decided we need to help our farmers before it’s too late.

Will you help our farmers? Donate to this relief fund to show your support. REMEMBER R1 can change a farmers life!

With donations made to this fundraiser, we can supply our farmers with FIRE GEL, fire blankets, PPE, FIRE EQUIPMENT and assistance for all fires. In result we can fight the battle as one and save our farmers and lands. They have lost so much already let’s give something back and show our support.

At the moment farmers are facing very difficult times resulting in water shortage, power cuts, farm murders, covid pandemic, old equipment etc

I wish to help these farmers, and I am asking for your generosity to help me in this effort.

In 90 minutes a runaway fires destroyed about 100,000ha of crops in Hertzogville, Hoopstad and Christiana. Homes and barns have also been destroyed before most help could arrive.

South Africa’s 38 000 remaining commercial farmers (from 120 000 in 1994) are vital to the food security of 58 million South Africans. They also contribute 3,9% of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) and employ more than 650 000 people, mostly unskilled.

Our farmers are using their last resources to survive and by donating it will lighten their burdens and save their crops and livestock.
