My name is Tudor Ursu, I am 24 years old and I live in Bucharest, a city where all bad things are possible and the good ones are long forgotten. As a human being, you need all the strength you can get to live a decent life. As a puppy, all you need is to find a good heart to take care of you and love you... in Bucharest, for that to happen, you need a true miracle.

This here is Gringo. He's one lucky soul, who got off the streets and sent to Germany, to a caring and loving family who will protect him forever.

Don't get me wrong, there are lots of good people here who love animals and would take good care of them but their small salaries and everyday problems get in the way. Most of them prefer to look the other way - a week ago, near my apartment, a homeless dog got hit by a car that didn't even stop to see if he needed help. The poor soul had to crawl out of the road and scream for help. Nobody even noticed him until my girlfriend, the wonderful person with whom I share this love of animals, heard his cries. She called me and a couple of our friends, and we took him to a vet who specializes in animal accidents. In Romania, you can't take an injured animal to any vet, because he'll refuse to treat him. You must find the proper one who will accept to take care of him.

This is Chanel. As much as my friend loves her Chanel products, she loves animals even more, so she took care of her until folks from Germany wanted a sweet puppy and they took her.

There are few animal shelters throughout Romania and almost every one of them doesn't have the proper manpower, the proper tools or the proper determination to take these poor souls off the streets, take good care of them and then give them up for adoption to people who can actually take good care of them, and not dump them back on the streets again.

He is Rhaego. I am happy to say that I was the one that took him off the streets and sent him, along with his dog passport, to Germany, again.

Me, my girlfriend and two of her friends use our spare time to feed them and play with them. We rented a small apartment where we take puppies, bathe them and find responsible people to love them as much as we do. But it is not enough for all the thousands of stray dogs our city hosts. A well equipped shelter, administered by people who actually care, might be the answer at first. People from around the globe could adopt dogs of any race, age, size, fur color. A proper website and care center would be developed.

This lovable puppy has been thrown out of a moving car. Lucky for him, my girlfriend saw this happened so he rushed to get him. He is now in the care of a vet and awaits his departure to a more loving country. His name is Johnny.

With all the money we hope to raise here, we will build a loving and healthy shelter for all these poor souls roaming our streets. We hope that more devoted people will join our cause and hope, that soon, we will be able to have enough money for another shelter, and another one, and another one... until all homeless dogs will be taken off the streets and adopted by people all over the world.

Part of those money will be for vaccines and animal passports. Another part will be for animal food, a serious problem when it comes to sheltering them. We will also hire one or two cleaners, depending on the number of rooms and the number of dogs.

In the future to come, we hope to make an internationally renowned shelter, available to everyone from everywhere, that wants a small companion in his life. Believe me, they can make life worthwhile. When you're down and all alone, they're always around waving their tails and licking your wounds.

Their saving depends only on you. We can only take them off the streets and protect them. You are the ones that keep them alive and you are the ones giving them a chance for a real happy family.

My team bows down to all of you!
