Support PLC in 2021

For more than 6 years, we have been actively involved in the community we are a part of, offering therapy programs for children with autism and other disabilities, in an efficient and functional way, at international standards.

But now we are facing a major crisis due to the global situation related to the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). Starting this week, we will cease all activities, for safety reasons – the safety of our staff, our beneficiaries and their families – in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), and that will have a major financial impact on the project. In Romania, therapy services are not covered by the state, so each NGO is supported by donations, sponsorships and contributions from the families. In the absence of financial resources, we will be forced to suspend our activity and lay off staff. The financial resources of PLC will be depleted in about 2 weeks, as we have to pay salaries, taxes and bills. Our goal right now is to raise 11.000 USD, so we would be able to keep supporting PLC, considering that the monthly amount required for our activity is 7.000 USD.

We also decided to be proactive and support the families from home. Our therapists will prepare materials to help the parents, they will set goals, discuss intervention plans, make assessments and will also participate in online trainings. The families will be able to access our support via online sources during all this time.

We believe in the power of the community around us and we believe that together we will overcome this global crisis. So far, God has been with us and we are convinced that He will be with us from now on, as well.
