Advocates for Wild Equines is going to LobbyIt!

Help give America’s wild horses and burros their own voice in DC

Let's make Wild Horse Annie proud! Our government is rounding up iconic wild horses and burros to make room on our public lands for private ranchers to graze their cattle and sheep. The ranchers that use our public land pay a pittance!

The horses are terrorized by helicopters into traps and then trucked to Bureau of Land Management holding facilities. These majestic Mustangs are traumatized, often injured and sadly deaths result . The fragile foals in the herd are especially prone to injury and death . As reported in the New York Times, many of these horses end up in the slaughter pipeline.

Thousands of advocates have spoken out for these horses. But our pleas have fallen on the deaf ears of our government officials.

Advocates for Wild Equine: A*W*E is a 100% volunteer coalition that wants to hire LobbyIt, a DC lobbying firm for the people that is affordable, accessible, and effective, to lobby for our horses. LobbyIt has provided us with a scope of services they will provide for $995 per month.

Will you please help us with a monthly contribution to raise that amount? There is NO MINIMUM CONTRIBUTION! If our needs change and we need to add additional services, you can find LobbyIt's pricing on their website: https://lobbyit.com/pricing/

After you contribute, REQUEST TO JOIN our private lobbying group for monthly contributors where we will share the monthly updates that LobbyIt will provide to us and share grassroots lobbying strategies. Here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/awelobbycoalition

Thank you so much for being a voice for our wild horses and burros.

NOTE: We are an informal coalition of advocates, not a 501(c)3, so your contributions are not tax deductible.

  • In 2022 thousands of wild Mustangs are going to be rounded up in 10 western states by The Bureau of Land Management and other agencies regulated by them. If you have never seen the herds move through the landscape of the public lands, find a herd near you or take a vacation to see them, to watch for the day, not just for a minute or an hour. They are survivors, family bands, a day old or 25 years old. They are like your family, watching over each other and caring, playful, teaching the ways, or mourning the lose of a family member. They did nothing to us but are treated like something to throw away. Either tell our government to stop or lose more iconic animals for the sake of the cattle and sheep ranchers using their powerful Lobbyists. There are 245 million acres of public land. Why do cattle need to have 80% of the public land? Why do Mustangs and burros need to be taken off the land? The BLM programs need reform. Our government agencies are allowing the wild horse to fall through the loop holes sending many to their deaths in slaughter houses in Mexico and Canada. Please tell your representatives and senators, our US Congress, our President, the Secretary of the Interior you want change. Call 202-224-3121, make your voice heard, to pass HR3355 to make the laws stronger in protecting wild free-roaming horses and burros on public land.
