Children in Thailand need your help to buy school shoes.
Please help us to raise money to buy school shoes for children in Payu Primary School,Sisaket Province.
Most parents are rice farmers and laborers. According to school's poverty screening program, more than half of the families are considered extremely poor with an income less than 100 US Dollars per month.
As a result, many of the children wear thongs or very old shoes to school. Your 10 dollars can buy 1 good pair of shoes. We are hoping to buys 200 brand new shoes for them. How exciting !!
My name is Orapan Machin. I am a mother of two boys (age 11 and 14 years) and a Psychology student at James Cook University. I grew up in Sisaket Province and now living in Canberra, Australia. My high school friend, Kru Ole (Teacher Ole in Thai) is a kindergarten teacher at Payu School. We are working together to make sure that the children are wearing new shoes to school!
My name is Taka Higuchi (TK). I am from Japan and a friend of Orapan.I am based in New Zealand. I visit Thailand every year for work. As I spend more time in Thailand, my love for the country grew and start to wonder if there is anything I can do to offer something positive, even a little bit. I love sports and believing in the power of sports. To humbly contribute to this fundraising project, I am participating in IRONMAN for the first time this March. I will be swimming(3.8km), biking(180km) and running(42km) in one day. Keeping my soles busy! I hope this cause will lead us to your soul so we can save as many soles as possible.
The children need your help !! remember how proud were you to wear new shoes to school? Thanks so much for your kindness.
