As many of you know, our local school, Riverside Consolidated may be closed down due to funding issues. They want to bus our kids, to Hillsborough for school, which for some would mean over 1 hr bus ride twice a day. This is why the school has lasted as long as it has during cut backs. It is just too far for young children to travel. It was once a K-12 school but has over the years been cut back to k-5. This is the oldest operating school in NB. It offers a unique learning experience for all students. Our teachers work tirelessly to ensure quility education for all and strive to make every student experience a sucess with their own individual talents and interests. It was designed by the Reid Brothers, who were from Harvey, NB. They also designed the Hopewell Cape Court house as well as many building across the United States. Let's show the school board, the government, the province and Canada as a whole, that we won't stand for our schools being closed. Our children/students are OUR future.
