Campaign Story
Our family would like to request your help to save our father’s heart.

Our Papa, Miguel Dela Torre was diagnosed with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) in his lungs and CAD (Coronary Artery Disease) in his heart. We had an angiogram procedure done at the Philippine Heart Center and his Cardiologist Dr. James Ho advised us that he currently has 7 clogged arteries on his heart and will need an immediate Bypass Surgery (CABG - Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting) as he is on high risk for heart attack and stroke.
We were advised that the procedure would cost approximately Php 800,000 - 900,000 (From PHC website:https://www.phc.gov.ph/services/treatment.php) these include the cost of hospitalization for 8 days, medications and operating room as well as professional fees. However, it does not include other procedures and complications of surgery, which we hope in God’s will there won’t be any.

Our father has served our Government all his life until his retirement. During his years of service, we take pride in saying that he never took money from anyone. He strictly abide by the rule of laws and was even dubbed as the “Iron Mike” during his service. Right now, he is living off his pension payments and has no other source of income. Our family cannot immediately pull this big amount to do his operation which he needs as soon as possible. Since our heart provides our body with the oxygen and nutrients it needs, if we do not act quickly his clogged arteries might affect the rest of his organs which we do not want to happen.
We kindly implore your good heart to help us in our hour of need. Any amount of help would do. Every penny counts!
