Campaign Story
Hello, I am Loraine Anne Ytable. I am the eldest daughter of Leonardo Ramos Ytable Jr. His current conditions, along with the proofs, are attached to this letter.
Our family is faced with a major crisis. My parents are mainly divided into three households, all of which are distant from one another. 4 of them, tested positive or are showing symptoms for COVID-19. Two of them are seniors, which puts them at very high risk.
My father, Leonardo Ramos Ytable Jr., has suffered severe pneumonia due to COVID-19. His RT-PCR result was Positive on COVID-19. He is currently an outpatient because there are no available rooms in other hospitals within and outside Marikina City where they reside. We opted to have him checked and managed by CenterCare a Homecare facility in Taguig in our home since the waiting time for admission in other hospitals is from 1 to 2 weeks. Aside from the Homecare Facility managing his health condition, he is also under the care of my mom, my sister, my brother, and his 6 yrs old granddaughter.
Last September 11, 2021, Papa started showing symptoms of the virus. He had a fever, coughs, and chronic hiccups due to low potassium and sodium. He was given medications and was under observation. The barangay was also immediately contacted in hopes that he would be admitted to an isolation facility. Unfortunately, no facility can accommodate him due to their full capacity. We were left with no choice but to pray and hope that the situation would get better. His condition lasted for 4 days. At this point, we are already alarmed because he does not seem to be getting any better. It has reached a point where he could not breathe properly due to chest pains. We are well aware of how expensive hospital bills can be, but despite this, we still pushed through and tried other options such as home care. Due to the shortage of available hospital rooms, we ended up having a home care facility in our home, even though we know it's beyond our budget. As of this moment, he is placed in our sala room in Marikina. Despite the difficulty in securing a bed alone since he is being taken care of in our home, Papa is now given the chance to improve his condition. He is currently receiving oxygen, as well as the needed antibiotics. All of which cost thousands.
The situation has not been easy, especially for our family. The rest of our family members are undergoing home isolation. Fortunately, some of them are slowly recovering.
Any amount, no matter how big or small it is, is already a huge help to our family. We are truly aware of how the pandemic has affected each one of our families, yet we still hope that you can extend to us a helping hand.
Let us all stay safe and pray for everyone's well-being. Thank you very much.
