Save Our Environment by Buying Cooking Gas for Local Kenyan Women

As a serving senator in Kisumu County, I have an opportunity to work with young mothers. In the process of interaction with them I have noticed the following

1. These women suffer a lot as the need to fetch wood to cook, and most suffer from chest diseases as a result of smoke.
2.the same smoke affects infants, who also suffer from respiratory diseases.
3. They spend long hours fetching fire wood and cooking food, which affects their general output
4. As the cut trees for fire wood, the environment is degenerating, yet Kenya has only 10% arable land and constrained rainfall.

In order to help these women, I have personally started a program that supports them with gas cookers. The cost of 1 gas cooker is Ksh 3500, and refills cost Ksh 800. The gas cookers can be used for 2 1/2 to 3 months. It it to this end that I require financial support as it involves a large number of women.
