Our little angel is now 1 month old.

Saying goodbye to someone was never easy especially if that someone is your child. Until now there are still questions left unanswered, why all these things have to happen. But I guess God has his ways which are not our ways.

You are still our precious little one who have touched our life greatly. Thank you for giving me the chance to be your mother. To be able to carry you for the first and last time was one moment I will cherish for the rest of my life. Today, we are celebrating your life baby. You may have lived shortly but your presence will forever remain with us. Now, you are free from pain already baby.

We miss you everyday. Happy 1 month birthday Baby Joaquin.

Mahal na mahal ka namen ni daddy mo. ❤️

Yesterday was a very painful day of my life, when my baby joaquin joined our Creator- Nov. 12,2018.

My baby was revived several times but he didnt make it. The infection was already severe that his platelets are already 3. Our brave baby made a good fight which is why we are very proud of him. For the first time I was able to carry him even if hes not breathing anymore. I felt him all over me, even if I know he will not response to my cuddle and hugs. The 28 days we spent together was full of memories that will always be cherished. I became a mother of a very brave baby.

Just when i thought yesterday was the hardest, I realized that this morning when I woke up was the most painful when I realized that everything was not a dream. I woke up around 5am, which is my time everyday prior visiting my baby in the hospital. And then I realized that I have no one to visit already, and saw my baby's ashes in our home. His face is all I see during my sleep last night.

I miss you so much my baby.. i will do everything to see and hug you again.:(

They say preemies are really little warriors and I can say that Joaquin is one of them. The past week has been a rollercoaster ride for us. There were a lot of happenings which tested our patience, faith and love. But what keeps us strong is our Baby's bravery and strength to fight for his life.

Last oct. 27, we transferred from private division to clinical division since our expenses are really high and we were afraid we cannot sustain the needs of our baby. Our 12 day stay in private division costs a total of 460k. Thank God, my company provided assistance which helped alot in discharging since we have to settle everything first prior transferring to clinical. In clinical, there will be no PF, discounted laboratory costs and same treatment to be given to private patients. However parents need to be on call 24/7 since we need to pay in cash everyday for our baby's meds and lab expenses. To date, we are averaging around 10-15k per day including his aNtibiotics.

Baby is still battling his sepsis as of today. As per doctors, the bacteria (seratia) is really hard to treat and it takes a longer time than usual infections. Our baby is still having transfusion almost every other day for the past 2 weeks since his platelets are still low due to the infection. His NEC also affects the lowering of platelet a lot. His antibiotics were now changed and they gave him the 2 strongest meds, which we pray will now work.

Yesterday was supposedly a memorable day since we had our baby baptized already in NICU. We wanted him to be admitted already kn the Christian world and at the same time accept God's healing. However last night, when i was at Nicu His oxygen and Heartrate lowered due to blood clogging in his tube. He was again intubated 2 days ago because he had a hard time breathing. I saw him having a hard time breathing and his color was changing. His oxygen dropped to 50 and Heartrate to 60. Doctors rushed immediately to him to revive his oxygen.

We are now praying hard that antibiotics will already work and fight the infection already. As a mother it is really hard to see your baby with wires and tubes but I just need to remember that it is still for his own good. That our baby really fights for his life despite those sickness he has. In our everyday visit we just talk to him and tell him that we will never give up on him and we will alwAys fight with hiM no matter what.

I know these hard days shall pass and My faith in God is really strong that He will heal my Baby. I am looking forward for the day that we will be able to carry him, feed him, hug and kiss him. But I even it takes days or weeks, I wont mind as long as baby gets healed. 🙏🏻

This is also the time that we get to thank all the blood donors who helped us since our baby's blood is AB positive and we always have a hard time looking for platelet concentrates for his transfusion.

We ask for your continuous prayers for Baby Rocco.

The past week was very hard for us, since our baby was diagnosed with sepsis (serratia infection), NEC ( bleeding of stomach, which stopped his milk feeding), and heart murmur. His platelets went down again and needed transfusion. Since our baby's blood type is AB positive, there were times that the hospital didnt have stocks of platelet concentrate AB+ and we have to request from Red Cross.

But during these times, that we saw how our baby fought and how strong he was. Yesterday, the doctors were happy explaining to us that he was better though of course his infection is still there. He was finally extubated, but still was supported thru his nose oxygen. His color is better, tummy is getting smaller and bleeding is minimal. We are just praying that the new antibiotics will cure his infection. During our visits, he would cry without sounds. He would look at us when hes awake and play with his saliva ( saliva bubbles hehehe) . I also get to touch him during our visit and talk to him everytime.

2 weeks was very fast, and I am super excited and looking forward to the day where I will be able to carry him (KMC), feed him and see him look and feel better. I thank God for every minute And day that pass by and that He continues to heal our Baby Joaquin.

We are also overwhelmed for the support we have been receiving from our friends, colleagues, family and even from other people we do not know. From financial, blood donations, assistance, moral support and prayers, these things are the ones we will never forget Especially that you are all instruments to Baby Joaquin's survival.

We cant wait to be with you Baby Joaquin. Continue to be a warrior, coz everyone's waiting for you already.:)

We love you Baby Joaquin

Today marks Baby Joaquin's one week birthday. But just this morning, around 12:30 am, we got a call from the NICU doctor informing me that they need to have a platelet transfusion since Baby's platelet went down. They needed to ask for a verbal consent to proceed with the procedure. I visited Baby early morning today and saw that his tube's settings went up again. The doctor told me that Baby has a blood infection (sepsis) which causes the lowering of his platelet. They also have to change the antibiotic.

These kinds of news are the ones I am really afraid to hear, but I just prayed and asked for God's healing. During my visit, I tried to touch baby's feet for the first time and it was one of the best feelings i experienced. He woke up and looked at me. I cant help but cry ( mixed feelings of sadness and joy) when I saw him looking at me.

Im asking now for your prayers to Baby Joaquin's healing. These trials test my faith, but i know God is with me and my baby throughout this journey.

Looking forward to seeing my baby again tomorrow! :)
