Save Nymeria (My Life) – Stage V/VI Heart Murmur

Nymeria is a 5 month old Alaskan Klee Kai.  She has a stage V/VI heart murmur.  50% of puppies with a murmur this severe will have heart failure before their first birthday.  As you can see, time is of the essence.  However, once Nymeria has the surgery she is expected to live a long and happy life.

The veterinary care is to be provided by Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  The surgery will cost approximately $2,500 total. Nymeria’s human mommy (Shandi) has been able to obtain $1,400.  The veterinary hospital believes that they can obtain an additional $500 through grants.  This leaves us $600 shy of this life-saving surgery.

Shandi works with animals, though she does not get full-time hours.  While Shandi is able to provide the regular care that Nymeria needs, this urgent, life-saving surgery is beyond the means of a 20-year old part-time worker.   Your generosity will be most sincerely appreciated.
