Save Nash from Steven Johnsons Syndrome

Update posted by Laiza Fidel On Nov 06, 2019

Hey guys before I start the update.

Big thanks to all who sent their well wishes, prayers, and donations.

Unfortunately, since my last post the hospital has yet to quickly respond to give us answers in terms of:

  • the specific medicine that triggered SJS
  • the result of his biopsy (it's too long already, it's close to 2 weeks now).
  • a Neurologist, to check him further. Right now, a dermatologist is taking care of him.
  • I've also raised some alarming concerns with the hospital procedures to the management. (They've not responded as well)

What are the medicines that could possibly triggered his SJS?

These meds were prescribed to him. We have asked the hospital many times to give us the specific medicine name so we can prevent future attacks. The only thing that they say, is they can't trace it since all these were taken prior to the attack. Which is a very sad thing because we NEED TO KNOW.

1. Celecoxib 200mg cap
2. Skudexa tab
3. Metronidazole 500mg table
4. Ciprofloxacin 500mg
5. Dioxell tab

Skin Peeling Transition

Doctors are treating him with steroids, they also apply medicinal ointments for the skin and Cetaphil. The following are his skin peeling transition from head to foot.

Face area:

When he said he's got eye problem, I got worried so much. The eye problem is okay now. Thank God!

Side and Back area:

I can't even imagine how painful is this. :(

Legs area:

Foot area:

He's got chubby toes now.

17 Days now in the hospital :(

As you see in his body, it is still very much swollen. He still finds it difficult to eat and move around. He needs to eat the right food and take the right meds. Hopefully, the steroids will successfully help him to improve and combat SJS. Right now, we are also having some concerns with the hospital procedures. We're starting to complain already about the slow progress of things. Including a very alarming news, that they want him discharge yesterday (Nov. 4) when he is still unwell. His face has peeled off yes, but definitely he is not yet healed to be asked to go home.

Please help us pray for my brother's fast recovery. We're praying to God may he be healed.
