Save Myanmar & Support non-violent CDM, fundraising by Seoul Vibe Team

💌 Dear my love families and friends,

It’s time to GIVE BACK to the world by all the love and support I have had.

I decided to open this fundraising to expand love💗 and peace🕊 of the universe, celebrating my 1st anniversary in Seoul Vibe Korean Restaurant and my birthday as well.

Why I support for Myanmar

I deeply feel much responsibility to stand with my lovely Burmese staffs and to support Myanmar where all the family of them is in fight to get back their right and freedom from the military coup.

Since I arrived to Koh Phangan in January 2020, unexpectedly I ended up taking over the restaurant with my dream vision sharing the value of my life and culture of my country, living in this beautiful island.

It has been an honor to be called as “a boss” by Seoul Vibe team which is composed of members from Thailand🇹🇭 and Myanmar🇲🇲. Because of COVID-19, we were going through such a hard time though, we gave trust to each other, worked together, and became like brothers and sisters. My new mission is to empower them and to grow up together as we are a team👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🌱

With my sincerest gratitude to Seoul Vibe team, all the profit & donations from the 1st anniversary event in the restaurant on 1st April will be donated as well by the names of all staffs.

Why WE support for Myanmar

It’s a heartbreaking to listen to what’s happening in Myanmar now, reminding me of the pain and horror my county experienced 40 years ago from the coup d'etat by Chun Doo hwan in Gwangju.

This issue is not only in Myanmar, but in many countries around the world where the government shuts down, manipulates and controls information taking the right and freedom from innocent people.

If Myanmar people win this fight, they win it for all of us. If they lose, neighboring countries and other bad actors around the world will normalize this practice.

We CAN NOT allow this to happen🙅‍♀️

I believe if all the citizens worldwide join in this historic fight, it will help brave Myanmar people to restore democracy as soon as possible.

Let’s BE AWAKE, make a voice and take an action together.

What is happening in Myanmar

For the past 10 years, the Myanmar people have fought hard to build upon their freedom.

On Feb 1, Myanmar military took power overnight, refusing to recognise the last democratic election results, jailed the country's elected leaders and sent tanks into the streets to intimidate the population.

The problem for the generals is that the Myanmar people are not afraid. They have seen this before. They know what comes next and they refuse to accept this fate for their children. They have started a Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM), abandoned their jobs and started protesting non-violently with pot-banging and their voices on the streets every day, risking their lives, for Freedom and Democracy. Despite the escalating violence, thousands of peaceful civilians gather day after day, facing the guns of the military, being killed day after day.

As of today, at least 2,574 people have been detained, and at least 510 protestors have been killed by military or police forces. Most of these are the bright and young generation of this beautiful country, risking their lives to refuse a future under dictatorship.

What can be done by donations

With a kind donation, you can help the brave people of Myanmar to prolong and expand the non-violent protests as much as possible, preferably from their homes, keep striking without risking their lives every day on the streets.

All proceeds from this fund will be donated to participants in the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM), who will coordinate donations on the ground from food donations to local clinics, families in need or independent journalists.

The Myanmar people have a right to raise their children in peace and in freedom.

And they need our help urgently! 🙌
