"FACING THE GREATEST BATTLE OF MY LIFE: Kicking cancer's ass and keeping my promise to my daughter."

Life hasn't been so good to me. Time hasn't been a fairweather-friend. My grandparents walked me down the aisle on my wedding day because my parents were busy raising their champagne glasses while staring down from heaven that day (I know they were). I had to Google my way through pregnancy and am still Googleing as bejeezus about motherhood because I am doing this alone (Great, Mom... I'm kidding! Please don't visit me tonight or ever!) Sad story. Boohoo. But instead of burrowing my face in a pillow, I have learned to just suck it up and be Hulk-strong for my Bethany Skye.
So when my darling daughter was about 2 weeks old, I promised her that she wouldn't go through what I went and still go through. Together with Mark, her father, I would walk her down the aisle on her wedding day and be there for her in her own journey of motherhood.
And so, Cancer, you might as well throw in the towel now 'cause I will do whatever it takes to keep my promise to my little girl. You may have started the battle but I will finish it with you as the loser. I will stare at death right into the eyes and say, "F**k you! I'm not going anywhere!"
Please help me keep my promise to my little girl. You've seen her in my timeline countless times. I wanna stay around for decades more to see her grow. I pray that by the grace of God, you will be healed. May you always put your hope and confidence in Him for he is a God of compassion and comfort. He will be your refuge in this time of trouble. I also pray that you will have His strength within you. That whatever pain and anxiety you're feeling, will all be lifted up by Jesus, our Lord and savior. I pray that your family will have the faith to believe in miracles and that they too will be comforted by God who is always generous and kind. He will provide everything you need.
