Save my home

Back in 2006 I quit my job to save my marriage, that didn't work. Then I contracted a very dangerous virus and was sick for many months. I spent 40+ successful years in corporate America so I was convinced I would not have a problem finding work. In 2009, three years later, I had used up my savings and many of my assets. I lost three Minnesota River bluff lots along with everything else. I had to file for bankrupcy. A few months later still no work I had to file for S.S. to pay my sustanance bills... food, water, electric etc. Now my home of 39 years is in big time jepordy. Everytime I apply for a job I am either too old or over qualified. If I get past the phone interviews and get an opportunity to actually talk face to face with a H.R. person I know when I walk into the room and get...that look, it's over before it starts. With the monies from this fund raiser I will be able to qualify for an FHA mortgage. I have a mortgage banker that is ready to go as soon as I can my debt to earnings ration from 53 down to 43. I can manage the monthly payments and all my other financial commitments on my S.S. salary but that does not matter. It's all about this "ratio" not weather or not I can make it happen again and meet all my commitments. Crazy but I don't make the rules I am just trying to play the game. I would greatly appreciate your help...from one human being to another, from one neighbor to another neighbor. Thank You !!
