I am Daniel Sanchez, Marta's Brother and my family and I are managing this campaign.

On June 11, Marta had a terrible accident. As a result, she has very severe burns to her face and eyes, and her corneas completely burned. She is 24 years old and from Terrassa but has been living in Seattle with her husband for two years and, as you well know there, health care is private.

At this moment, she is in Harborview Medical Center (Seattle, WA). She had her first operation on June 13 and we are currently waiting to see how she responds to the surgery, but doctors have already reported the need for further surgery and a possible cornea transplant.

The process will be long and costly, in total uncertainty, of not knowing if she will be able to regain her vision, along with the impotence of not being able to stand by her side due to the current situation of Covid-19.
