I'm starting this campaign for my father Pershing Que. He is now in the ICU fighting for his life.

Let me first give you a background about my father. From the day I was born, he has been a good dad to me and my sister. He was a great provider. He worked in Saudi Arabia so our family could experience some of the best things in life. He never withheld anything that my sister and I wanted. He tried to make everything possible for us...he worked overtime. He made sure he sends all his earnings here in the Philippines.

He was our source of strength. When my sister and I finished college and started working, he decided to stay home and not anymore go back to Saudi Arabia. Because he couldn't anymore provide for our finances, he did house chores. He cooked for us, cleaned our house, did laundry...everything he could possibly do to make our lives easier. When we started to experience financial difficulties and I had to resort to having a sideline business, my father learned to make brownies. And although it was an additional work load for his already filled up schedule, he helped me bake so we can sell them and earn additional income. He even tried to become a service driver for people arriving at the airport. He always wanted to be of use to us.

In the year 2012, he was rushed to the hospital because of Myocardial Infarction. He survived this ordeal and he gave up smoking from then on. Because of this, we demanded that he stop doing household chores and just rest. But after a few months, he slowly helped my mother with some chores that are not that heavy. My father always wanted to make himself useful. He was never comfortable doing nothing and being served. He always wanted to be the one doing things for us. But we always remind him that he is no longer as healthy as he used to be.

On July 2016, we again rushed him to the hospital because he kept complaining a backache that had gone on for a month. Then after some testings, he was found to have damages in the lungs. The doctor called it Chronic-Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Others call it a smoker's disease. The doctor explained that although he stopped smoking years ago, the damage to the lungs had already progressed. There was nothing we can do to reverse the damage, but his way of life can be improved. When we came home after his hospitalization, we maintained 2 oxygen tanks for him because his oxygen level haven't been normal. From that time up to this year we have seen improvements as he started to walk again and joined us at the table for breakfast.

But on October 6, 2017, we again rushed him to the hospital because he lost strength in his right arm and right leg. The CT Scan result revealed that he has a growth on his left brain. The doctor explained that when the left side of the brain is damaged, the right side of the body gets affected. My father is already 74 years old. He can no longer undergo surgery. From then on, he gets admitted in the hospital and right now he is in ICU. We never thought how quickly his damage in the brain has progressed.

We are spending not less than 25,000 per day while he is in ICU.. I quit job because I wanted to sell cakes so I can take care of him while working in the kitchen. But as his illness kept progressing, it demanded more of my time taking care of him. I had to help my mother and not put all the burden on her because she's also no longer getting any younger.

I'm raising this campaign because I see that my father is still fighting. The longer we keep him in the ICU, the more improvement I see in his condition. We want to take him home with us with him still able to talk, still able to feel our love, still able to hear us. Please help us maintain for his medical needs. We love him so much. He is worth fighting for. While everyone else expect us to give up, we will keep fighting and exhaust all means. And most importantly, we believe in miracles. We believe that nothing is impossible with GOD and He is forever faithful to His children. Thank you and God bless us all.
